What’s the Fix?
What is What’s the Fix?
What’s the Fix? is an event that focuses on amazing people who’ve overcome health care challenges despite the system, not because of it, and have driven change as a result. Our goal is to have the health care industry learn from the amazing stories and start to drive change as a result.
The event is free to attend (in person and online) and last year we had 650 registrants, 2700 tweets and trended nationally on twitter. Activity on the hashtag, #WTFix, continues even after the event due to the high levels or interest and engagement.
You might be asking yourself, why is HealthSparq involved?
Well, at HealthSparq, we help people to make smarter health care choices by partnering with health plans to provide members with cost and quality information about doctors, hospitals and medical services, based on their individual benefits. We put people at the core of everything we do by conducting continuous usability testing, eliciting consumer feedback to enhance product development, hosting industry panels featuring everyday people, and bringing human stories to the forefront. Our focus on people is what led us to create a different kind of event, where the focus is on regular people that have taught the industry, rather than highlighting the health care executives and industry insides that dominate most industry events.
We’re not aiming to fix health care at the macro-level with What’s the Fix?, we’re looking to inspire people to commit to making the changes and to fix the areas they can. We believe that if people take health care into their own hands, and commit to fixing what they can control, the overall experience for all starts to improve.
The What’s the Fix? conference, tweet chats and blogs always focus on individuals who are driving change through sheer determination; institutions that are reacting to that change; and people who are taking it upon themselves to learn all they can and generate healing in ways “the system” can’t.
Sign-up today to get updates on the 2nd annual What’s the Fix? conference. This one-of-a-kind event is focused on changing the cold and inefficient health care system by featuring everyday people with big stories about how they turned their ‘WTF’ health care moments into positive change.
