HealthSparq Names Matt Parker New Vice President of Product
PORTLAND, Ore., Sept. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — HealthSparq, a company helping people make smarter health care choices, has named Matt Parker as its new Vice President of Product.
Parker brings more than 15 years of experience in the health care technology product industry. He was most recently the VP of Products at Connecture, where he lead product management of its SaaS products, including Medicare, individual and family and group shopping, and enrollment products. Before joining Connecture, he was the VP of Clinical Products at DestinationRX.
As VP of Product for HealthSparq, Parker will lead the company’s efforts to develop and continually improve industry-leading products that meet the needs of their health plan customers, while also helping their members take more control of their health care. He brings a passion for streamlining implementation so that customers are up and running with new products more quickly.
“We are excited to have someone with Matt’s expertise and vision leading our product team,” said Mark Menton, Chief Executive Officer at HealthSparq. “We’re confident that, as we continue to evolve and grow as a company dedicated to helping people make smarter health care choices, Matt will be critical in delivering above and beyond our clients’ (and future clients’) expectations.”
As an outdoor enthusiast, Parker is looking forward to exploring all Portland has to offer. He and his wife have two young daughters, and the family enjoys camping year-round. He’s also committed to applying his own experiences as a patient and a parent to his work at HealthSparq.
“Just like everyone else, I am a patient, and I have seen how easy it is to sit back and simply receive care,” Parker said. “In order to change the system, we have to stop being passive recipients — we have to become engaged and empowered to make impactful health care choices. HealthSparq allows for self service, self care, support and ease of accessibility. Its tools allow patients to take control of their health care and become active participants of their own health. That really excites me.”
At HealthSparq, we help people make smarter health care choices by partnering with health plans to provide members with cost and quality information about doctors, hospitals and medical services, based on their individual benefits.
